– 1st Documentary – 14 years old –

This is my first first documentary film. My father was a commercial harpoon swordfisherman and I adored him (still do). He purchased a VHS camcorder and asked me to join him on his fishing voyages to sea. I was to document the trips (and wash dishes). He introducing me to the world he loved and fostered my interest in film and video.

This film is a bit juvenile but so was I at the time (11-13 years old). I’m forever grateful to my pops for getting me hooked on the fisherman’s life and filmmaking!

SYNOPSIS:

Captain Gregory Mayhew and crew embark on a traditional harpoon swordfishing voyage aboard the fishing vessel Unicorn.
