Clay Animation Project – Holocaust

I asked my 8th grade English teacher if I could make a movie in place of the required book report we had at that time. She agreed. Not everything worked out as I’d hoped. Audio was tricky… and my close-ups of handwritten text didn’t show as I’d hoped. Still, not bad for a 13 year old version of myself.

SYNOPSIS:

A claymation based on the novel “Upon the Head of the Goat” by Aranka Siegal. Nine-year-old Piri describes the bewilderment of being a Jewish child during the 1939-1944 German occupation of her hometown as well as trying to survive in the ghetto.
